A modern and recent browser is required.

1. Choose a local video file.
2. Seek the video to the start position where the recording should start.
3. Click the projector icon at the bottom right to switch to the recording controls.
4. Optionally: Make a crop selection by dragging a box on the video, from top left to bottom right. Finish your selection by clicking on the box.
5. Start recording by clicking the recording button. This will play the video in real time. Stop recording by clicking the button again.
6. A download button will appear next to the recording button. Left click it.

Known problems:

• Firefox: Crop selection shifted when video has aspect ratio (SAR) which is not 1:1 and is bigger than the player.
• Chromium: Audio has weird echo when recording, probably played back twice. Recording file is fine, though.
